Dockweiler BPE Surfaces

Inner surfaces

The welded Dockweiler BPE tube in accordance with ASME BPE, inner surface finished to fulfil the Ra max ASME BPE specification, supplied in UNS S 31603 (316L) as specified in Table DT3 ASME BPE and in the surface qualities SF1 and SF4. Further surfaces on request.

SF1:

welded and mechanically polished Ra max ≤ 0.51 µm/20 µin

SF4:

welded and electropolished in accordance with specification HE 175 4VN (tubes) and HE 1114VN (fittings) Ra max ≤ 0.38 µm/15 µin

Electropolished Surface

Characteristics/Advantages:
Reduction of the surface area, the closed chromium oxide layer optimizes the corrosion resistance and welding characteristics, no catalytic reaction with the medium.

Outer surface

Ra max ≤ 0.80 µm/32 µin
